I am in the middle of making potato salad to go with the left over pulled pork and side ribs and I am just wondering how many of us use homemade salad dressing and if any use ready made of one type or another :?: :feedback:

Are you asking if we use a store bought salad dressing to make potato salad? Or are you just asking if we make our own salad dressings. I use several store bought salad dressings to make my potato salad.

a little from column a and a little from column b there Jim. We always use my grandmothers homemade dressing for potato salad and was wondering about other folks I know there is store bought but have never used it, funny thing about my grandmothers recipe it is almost identical in ingredients and amounts to Wendy aka "da better half" grandmothers.

Salad dressing goes on salad.
Miracle Whip goes in potatoe salad. What is the problem ?

I know that alot of tv chefs use a doctored up mayo as the dressing for potato salad my family has always made a homemade boiled dressing and it has always been a hit whenever we served it just wondered if anyone else went to the trouble of homemade or not

So what is this recipe? My recipe has english cream salad dressing along with miracle whip, mustard and some other ingriedents. Can't remember them all but it is written down some were. Now this is not store bought but it is not labour intensive to make either. The one trick that I have found with potatoe salad is that it needs to site in the fridge over night for the potatoes to absorb all the flavour.

I use store bought dressings for my salad. I hate potato salad, so I can't answer that.
