Hi all, took a while but finally found a site that is local. I've been in Calgary since 1996. Serious griller for 25 years and have been doing the low and slow thing for about 10 years. So far my only accomplishments in this field has been to fascinate (read annoy) friends and family with my bottomless pit of BBQ facts and stories which they suffer through in order to get to the pulled pork or whatever I have on the go. I have an offset smoker and a gas grill. Nothing fancy but I can grill or smoke on either one in a pinch. In the great white north if you can’t smoke on the deck BBQ you go without for 3-4 months a year. Looking forward the BBQ On The Bow this year. Not ready to complete myself yet but if anyone is looking for some help on their team I would be interested. Was planning to volunteer at the event but some experience in a pit would be even better. Sounds like I’ll see a few of pitmasters there. Good luck to any brave enough to compete.

Hi Rustysmoker, I'm entering the Bow competition this year and would welcome some help if you would like to be part of the team. I'm no expert and the Bow will only be my 2nd competition, but I've been smoking for about 10 years and I'm largely going to have fun. If you are interested in talking more let me know and we can connect.

Kevin
