This comp is a go agian this year. It will be the third year for this event. The unfortunity thing is that this event always takes place the same weekend as the Whistler event so it is hard to draw teams from BC. It is however the funest event that I attend each year and have a great time with a lot of the Calgary teams. This year the bbq will be on the Sunday-Monday the same as last year, Aug 1-2. This year we are adding a lot more money to the prizes so it is really getting up their for money. I will have the entry forms available sometime this weekend. The only said part is that this will be the first year Morley is not heavily involved in helping the organizors. Hopefully we will see Morley back after he takes his one year sabbatical.

Well we are getting closer to the date. Just wondering if any of you calgary teams are going to come out and compete? don't have any registrations in from the Calgary teams except for Smokin Box.

Well looks like we will have our standard 8 teams for this comp. We have three new teams making their debut at Strathmore. One of the teams has a head chef who is only 14 years old. should be a good time

Looking forward to Strathmore. I think the weather is due to be nice this year so it should be a good event.

Congrats Jim -- that's awesome! But only 8 teams -- they have competitions with that few of teams?? I bet you'll be ready for next May so you can get back down here and compete in a field of 94 teams again at Bixby (but you should also stay for the following weekend at Claremore).
